The Grande Loge du Québec, founded on October 20, 1869, is the oldest Masonic obedience in Quebec. It comes from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Canada, installed a century earlier, in 1759. The motto of obedience is Audi, Vide, Tace, Which means in French: Hear, see and be silent.
