sleepiness; heart racing; fever; dizziness; stated that her feet felt really heavy where it was hard for her to move her feet; high blood pressure; tired; pale with a red face; pale with a red face; burning up; this is a spontaneous report received from a contactable reporter(s) (consumer or other non hcp) from medical information team for a pfizer sponsored program (159558). the reporter is the patient. other case identifier(s): us-pfizer inc-202101206094 (pfizer). a 38 year-old female patient received bnt162b2 (bnt162b2) (batch/lot number: unknown) as dose 1, single for covid-19 immunisation. relevant medical history included: "sick", start date: feb2020, stop date: feb2020, notes: she would've only been sick in feb2020; "covid", start date: 2020, stop date: 2020, notes: she had covid in 2020; "dry cough" (unspecified if ongoing); "103 to 104 degree fever" (unspecified if ongoing); "high blood pressure" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: stated that she has been on medication for high blood pressure since age 21; "penicillin" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: did not get anaphylactic shock with the vaccine like she did with penicillin when she was 14 yeras. the patient took concomitant medications. the following information was reported: somnolence (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "sleepiness"; palpitations (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "heart racing"; pyrexia (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "fever"; dizziness (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "dizziness"; limb discomfort (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "stated that her feet felt really heavy where it was hard for her to move her feet"; hypertension (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "high blood pressure"; fatigue (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "tired"; pallor (non-serious), erythema (non-serious), outcome "unknown" and all described as "pale with a red face"; burning sensation (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "burning up". the event "high blood pressure" was evaluated at the emergency room visit. relevant laboratory tests and procedures are available in the appropriate section. additional information: she was tested for antibodies before her vaccine in nov2020 and she did not have any. the patient received the pfizer covid 19 vaccine three weeks ago and experienced sleepiness, heart racing, fever, dizziness and her feet felt really heavy where it was hard for her to move her feet. the patient had high blood pressure. the patient stated that her first dose was scheduled at 8am and she had to wait closer to 9 to receive it. the patient was so tired so she laid down for 30 minutes and got up and her heart was racing. the patient had no high blood pressure and eats right and takes medication. the patient felt dizzy and went to her friend's house in case and she had to lay down and didn't look good, pale with a red face. by 4pm she was in bed with a fever and her husband struggled to wake her up later and she had not taken anything. the patient felt clammy and burning up and had to hold water for her to drink. the next morning her bed was soaking wet from her fever and she was dragging her feet, her brain tells her feet to pick up but she cannot do it and she couldn't do hardly anything the next day. the patient was supposed to take the second shot this friday, but she was concerned about the reaction with her heart. she knows people have a reaction to the second shot because the body says it recognizes this and fights it and to her this is an extreme reaction. the patient was afraid to get the second dose and wanted to speak with someone. no follow-up attempts are possible; information about lot/batch number cannot be obtained. no further information is expected
