tenderness in armpit; swelling; shingles; armpit pain; breast lump; lump; this is a spontaneous report received from a contactable reporter(s) (consumer or other non hcp) from the regulatory authority (uk-ra). the reporter is the patient. regulatory number: gb-ra-webcovid-202202171252303590-5a54t (ra). other case identifier(s): gb-ra-adr 26612727 (ra). a 40 year-old female patient (not pregnant) received bnt162b2 (comirnaty), administration date 14dec2021 (batch/lot number: unknown) as dose 2, single for covid-19 immunisation. the patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. vaccination history included: covid-19 vaccine (dose 1; manufacturer unknown), for covid-19 immunisation. the following information was reported: tenderness (medically significant), outcome "recovering", described as "tenderness in armpit"; swelling (medically significant), outcome "recovering", described as "swelling"; axillary pain (medically significant) with onset 16dec2021, outcome "recovered with sequelae", described as "armpit pain"; breast mass (medically significant) with onset 16dec2021, outcome "recovered" (30jan2022), described as "breast lump"; herpes zoster (medically significant) with onset 19dec2021, outcome "not recovered", described as "shingles"; mass (medically significant), outcome "recovered" (30jan2022), described as "lump". the events "tenderness in armpit", "swelling", "armpit pain", "breast lump", "shingles" and "lump" were evaluated at the physician office visit. the patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: sars-cov-2 test: negative, notes: no - negative covid-19 test. therapeutic measures were taken as a result of tenderness, swelling, axillary pain, breast mass, herpes zoster, mass. additional information: patient had a lump the size of tennis ball developed in armpit/ breast, with debilitating pain. patient visited gp (general practitioner) who said swelling definitely wasn't lymph nodes, but had no idea what it was, other than an adverse reaction to vaccine. patient was prescribed with antibiotics and painkillers. over two weeks lump reduced in size and moved down arm towards elbow, and down into back before disappearing. tenderness in armpit still mild. shingles developed in back was permanent. the reported events did not relate to possible inflammation of the heart (myocarditis or pericarditis). patient last menstrual period date: 15feb2022. patient has not had symptoms associated with covid-19 patient was not pregnant and was not currently breastfeeding. patient has not tested positive for covid-19 since having the vaccine. patient was not enrolled in clinical trial. no follow-up attempts are possible; information about lot/batch number cannot be obtained. no further information is expected
