labyrinthitis; motion sickness; headache recurrent; neck pain; dizziness; this case was received via regulatory authority. this regulatory authority case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of labyrinthitis (labyrinthitis), motion sickness (motion sickness), dizziness (dizziness), neck pain (neck pain) and headache (headache recurrent) in a 69-year-old female patient who received mrna-1273 (moderna covid-19 vaccine) (batch no. 3004737) for an unknown indication. concomitant products included omeprazole from 20-nov-2020 to an unknown date for gerd, tozinameran (pfizer biontech covid-19 vaccine) from 13-feb-2021 to an unknown date and tozinameran (pfizer biontech covid-19 vaccine) for vaccination, influenza vaccine (influenza virus) from 24-sep-2021 to an unknown date for an unknown indication. on 29-nov-2021, the patient received third dose of mrna-1273 (moderna covid-19 vaccine) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. on 18-jan-2022, the patient experienced dizziness (dizziness) (seriousness criterion medically significant). on 22-jan-2022, the patient experienced neck pain (neck pain) (seriousness criterion medically significant). on 23-jan-2022, the patient experienced headache (headache recurrent) (seriousness criterion medically significant). on an unknown date, the patient experienced labyrinthitis (labyrinthitis) (seriousness criterion medically significant) and motion sickness (motion sickness) (seriousness criterion medically significant). at the time of the report, labyrinthitis (labyrinthitis), motion sickness (motion sickness), dizziness (dizziness), neck pain (neck pain) and headache (headache recurrent) had not resolved. diagnostic results (normal ranges are provided in parenthesis if available): on an unknown date, sars-cov-2 test: no - negative covid-19 test (negative) no - negative covid-19 test. the action taken with mrna-1273 (moderna covid-19 vaccine) (unknown) was unknown. the medical history was not provided by the reporter. it was reported that, patient initially took motion sickness pills for 3 days to no effect. a telephone appointment with the gp resulted in diagnosis of labyrinthitis and was prescribed betahistamine. patient took them for 10 days and had no benefit patient had ceased taking them. patient had not tested positive for covid-19 after taking the vaccine. patient was not enrolled in clinical trial. patient did not had symptoms associated with covid-19. the report did not relate to possible inflammation of the heart (myocarditis or pericarditis).; sender's comments: this case concerns a 69-year-old female patient with medical history of interchange of covid-19 vaccine products and recent influenza vaccination, who experienced the unexpected, serious (medically significant) events of labyrinthitis, neck pain, and headache 50 days after the third dose of mrna-1273. the medical history of interchange of covid-19 vaccine products and recent influenza vaccination are confounding factors. the patient was prescribed betahistamine for 10 days but events did not resolve. the benefit-risk relationship of mrna-1273 is not affected by this report
