Adverse Event Description

sars-cov-2 infection; sars-cov-2 infection; this is a spontaneous report received from a contactable reporter(s) (consumer or other non hcp) from the regulatory authority and product quality group. the reporter is the patient. a 37 year-old female patient (not pregnant) received bnt162b2 (bnt162b2), administration date 10jul2021 (lot number: fa1027) as dose 2, single and administration date 11may2021 (lot number: ew4109) as dose 1, single for covid-19 immunisation. the patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. the following information was reported: drug ineffective (medically significant) with onset 07jan2022, outcome "unknown", suspected covid-19 (medically significant) with onset 07jan2022, outcome "recovered" (15jan2022) and all described as "sars-cov-2 infection". the patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: sars-cov-2 test: negative, notes: no - negative covid-19 test; abdomen scan: resolved cyst of the left ovary; smear cervix: normal. additional information: patient's last menstrual period date was 17jan2022. patient has not had symptoms associated with covid-19. patient was not currently breastfeeding. patient's periods started being irregular the month after receiving the second dose of the vaccine (meaning the first menstruation after the second dose). they were now longer and occur twice per month for various days. the flow has also changed. her period was now a consistent flow for six days, and slowly fades by the eighth day and then, a week later, a heavy flow starts up for three or four days before stopping entirely until the following period. patient also developed an ovarian cyst which she have not had before. this has now resolved.patient is not enrolled in clinical trial. the report did not relate to possible inflammation of the heart (myocarditis or pericarditis). provided details of any relevant investigations or tests conducted as patient had extreme pain in the bottom left region of the abdomen so she received a scan which found a resolved cyst of the left ovary. patient also had a cervical smear which came back normal." no follow-up attempts are possible. no further information is expected.; sender's comments: linked report(s) : gb-pfizer inc-202200329486 same patient, different dose/event
